Sims, the E4300 CAN'T beat the 6000+ on stock speeds... also, Maybe ken isn't an OC'er and wants to save money on other parts like RAM and mobo... If so, i don't see the reason why not go with the 6000+... The 6000+ will do u fine, it's an equivalent to the E6600... Also, it IS a good investment for a non-overclocker. The E6600 on Newegg is around $223 while the 6000+ is $170... and added with the fact you don't have to buy an extreme "overclockable mobo" and high speed RAM makes ure system a well investment.

well despite what some idiots may say, im going to give you a good unbiased opinion on what i think you should buy.
If you are not an overclocker
AMD X2 6000+, why? well its $30-$60 cheaper than intels nearest performance rival, which would be the E6600 and E6550, but it will most likely perform slightly better at the stock speeds.
If you are an overclocker
As said get a core 2 duo, whilst the stock prices may not be benificial, the overclocking ability of these processors is. For the same price as the 6000+ you can get the E6550, which will easily overclock to 3Ghz, you might even manage 3.4-3.6, which at 3Ghz is equivilant to the AMD running at 3.6-3.8Ghz, but i can safetly say its unlikely an X2 will clock that far.
So to those above, mainly sims, dont say crap like " By the way, the x2 6000 is a terrible investment." when it is better priced (please do your research first), not everybody is an overclocker, this guy might just want a chip to slip in and use.
So next time i suggest you ask what they expect to do with the chip rather than jumping straight in with your overclocking gospel

Definitely the AMD X2 6000+ if you don't plan to OC. Good, solid AM2 motherboards are so darn cheap nowadays it's really very tempting me to grab one. If you do plan on OCing, definitely the C2D line up, they're OCing monsters.
P.S. Ah yes, the infamous Sempron > C2D thread...

I think my main point in this whole thing would be that if you're looking at what is basically the fastest processor in a series, you're a person who really does care about performance and you want to get the best out of whatever you buy. With less than a ten dollar difference in price, you would think that someone into this level of technology would prefer the e6550 over the 6000+.

Is There A Way That you can play VisualBoyAdvance online with others? Like is there a specail plugin that would be nice!!!!!

From what I am aware, it isnt bad at all. Delphi is based on a lot of Pascal, and there is lots of development being done on Delphi/Pascal, so I'd say due to its popularity its a good choice. However, I'm not too sure on the specifics on whats good or bad about it.

The Magic Hobo
Today I finally got around to looking at some C tuts I got a little while ago, and after 10 or so minutes of reading it I was able to make my very own Hello world console app, although mine actually said "if this works I'll eat a live dog." After another 5 or so minutes I was able to get the app to close upon pressing x(cant remember what it was exactly) and then pressing return, everything was going well. But after I read on, I realised I'd could get anyhting else to work,I had gottent he basics down, but anything involivng even simple variables like entering A and pressing return to display a number, I couldnt get working Im not not looking for help getting my stupid little practice app to work, I was just wondering if it is normal to not grasp something like C when your teaching yourslef. Im starting a college course in september that covers C and a few other languages, but i was just wondering, if i cant learn the basics now, do I stand a chance of learning more complex stuff, even if Im being taught by someone else?
